Get Real, Get Love, Get Rolling!

Cath’s take:

“Get real, Cathy.  We do enough for these people…”  This challenge came to me from a reader commenting on my suggestion that “loving one another” is our only hope.

The news story about people stealing iron fences from New York neighborhoods spawned outrage and dozens of comments.  Plenty of readers thought these crimes would be solved if we carry guns to protect our property, line our fences with razor blades, elect a new president, or get more jobs.  Loving one another didn’t rank very high in the comment section.

The reader who told me to “get real,” was voicing the near universal annoyance with the idea that “loving one another” can solve our problems.  If you’re among those who think holding hands and singing Kumbaya is what “loving one another “ means, you’re not alone.

That’s not Love.  And it’s not real.

Wake Up!

Headlines are smeared across America with gangs brawling on the beach in Boston, crowds fighting at Wave Country in Nashville, flash mobs assaulting people with pepper spray in Chicago.  Carrying a gun to protect ourselves and our property, or putting more policemen on the streets  may scare away a few criminals, but it’s not the solution.

How much of your precious time do you want to spend patrolling and enforcing “gang proof” public beaches so your family can go on a picnic in peace?  Will our future be one of forever fending off thugs and teaching our grandchildren to do the same?   Good morning America, is

Love is the only solution.

this who we are?

Appalled, angry, violated; nobody wants to accept this as our reality.

Contrary to the reader who challenged me, there is only one real solution.

Talking ‘bout Love

Take off the blinders and go straight to the heart.  Well-loved people aren’t usually trouble makers or thieves.  People who are really loved, and who love others, don’t hang out in gangs or plan pepper spray assaults.  They don’t look for ways to cheat or cause harm and misery to fellow human beings.  Love is what’s missing, and we’ve got to get it back into every single crack in our society.

But first, we’ve got to learn how.

Today is the day to embrace the new science of Love and start understanding the principles of how and why Love works.  Loves’ elements contain all the values and morals we cherish, ready and waiting to be nurtured and reinforced through a lifetime…for everyone.  Today, we can choose to begin creating a peaceful, responsible and caring society; a society built upon the Technology of Love (TOL).

Teaching people how to Love, one by one, will change your world.  The TOL Movement is real and ready to roll.  Are you?

TOL or SOL.  You decide.
